A graduate of California State Polytechnic University, Mr. Vanderstok pursued a Los Angeles career in advertising. His path took him from trainee to a senior vice presidency. At international advertising agency, Young & Rubicam, he worked on national clients Ernest and Julio Gallo Winery, Clorox and Pentel Writing Instruments. Moving to Dailey & Associates, he served in account management for financial giant, Great Western Savings. He continued his management role, as a senior vice president, at Gumpertz, Bentley & Fried working primarily for financial and packaged goods clients. Accounts included Sunny Delight – Florida/New York; Rolling Rock Beer – Pennsylvania; Easy Wash – Los Angeles; Manufacturers Bank/ Mitsui Manufacturers Bank – Los Angeles; National Enterprise Bank – Washington, D.C.; RTD, Rapid Transit District (precursor to LACMTA, Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transit Authority) – Los Angeles; L.A. Department of Water & Power – Los Angeles; and Stör (furniture retailer patterned after and bought out by IKEA) – City of Industry.

Having transitioned from advertising to public relations, Mr. Vanderstok is primarily focused on strategic planning and development of client opportunities, contrasting and complementing Ms. Chapman's primary role of community relations. He is the lead partner working on outreach for California's High Speed Rail system in the Bakersfield to Palmdale segment as well most public agency assignments.

Mr. Vanderstok was also a co-founder of the Antelope Valley Women's Conference and served as a committee member for the 2006 Veterans Day Parade called "Operation Welcome Home." He is also a Palmdale Partners Academy graduate.
